Team Pride Wheelchair Basketball & More - Old Murphey School 2:15 - 5:00 p.m.

Description

Come enjoy the wonderful sport of Wheelchair Basketball, where you get good physical exercise and have fun while doing it.  In addition to wheelchair basketball, we will also be offering Air Rifle or Archery as well.

Wheelchair Basketball is very similar to its standing basketball counterpart; however, athletes use lightweight sports chairs that are easy to maneuver and increase stability in order to react with the athlete’s body. Athletes are required to shoot, pass, or dribble after every 2 pushes. The sport tests athlete eye-hand coordination and is bound by team camaraderie!  This is a great way to keep physically active and have fun at the same time.
