Cycling the White Oak Creek Greenway followed by lunch at the park

This is our end of season celebration for our Bridge II Sports Cycling team.  Come join us on a fun ride along the White Oak Creek Greenway, which meanders through the wetlands of this creek.  We start off at Bond Park's Buehler Shelter and ride west on the White Oak Creek Greenway.  Afterwards, we will enjoy lunch and each other's stories to wrap up this season.

 

Cyclist with a Visual Impairment will be picked up by Bridge II Sports Staff at 8:00 a.m., at Beauty Smart in Durham located at 202 W North Carolina 54 #106, Durham, NC 27713.

 

Cyclist needing to be picked up from Beauty Smart must contact Wes Hall at wesh@bridge2sports.org

 

We have a fleet of cycles for various physical disabilities and skill level (upright, recumbent, handcycles, tandem, recumbent tandem, … ) AND expert staff and volunteers to assist you in riding confidently. 

 

Physical Impairments and Cycle Choices:

  • Visually Impaired: Tandem upright or recumbent
  • Amputees, spinal injury, stroke:  Recumbents, bicycles, and hand-cycles
  •  

Registration is Required: due to the required preparation for this program and volunteer coordination, this event will be cancelled, if there is no registration.
